These terms apply when you ask WestIT Mate to provide technology or digital services. A written quote, package description or agreed scope may add project-specific terms.
Bookings and authority
You must provide accurate information and have authority to approve work on the relevant device, account, network, website or business system. Appointment requests are not confirmed until we accept them.
Prices and approval
Prices are in Australian dollars. WestIT Mate is not currently registered for GST. “From” and “starting” prices apply to the stated standard scope. We will seek approval before billable extra time, travel, parts, licences, subscriptions or work outside the agreed scope.
Cancellations and access
Please give at least one hour’s notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. A reasonable late-cancellation or travel charge may apply if a technician has already been allocated or started travelling. You must provide safe and timely access to the premises, devices, accounts and information needed for the work.
Remote support
Remote support requires your permission and a suitable internet connection. You remain responsible for supervising access and for entering passwords, payment details and verification codes. You may end a remote session at any time.
Backups and data risk
You are responsible for maintaining a current backup before work begins unless backup is the service being provided. Technology work may involve unavoidable data or configuration risk. We will explain material known risks, but data recovery, complete restoration and uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.
Third-party products and services
Hardware, software, internet, cloud, domain, hosting and subscription services are supplied under their providers’ terms. WestIT Mate is not responsible for third-party outages, discontinued products, licence decisions or changes outside our control.
Security and prohibited work
We may refuse work that appears unlawful, unsafe, unauthorised or likely to harm another person or system. Security assessments are limited to the agreed scope and are not a guarantee that a device, account or business will remain secure.
Workmanship and Australian Consumer Law
If you believe our work has not been performed with due care and skill, contact us promptly with the service details. We will assess the concern and any appropriate remedy based on the work completed and your rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, WestIT Mate is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by inaccurate instructions, pre-existing faults, customer changes, third-party failures, malware, or a missing backup. Any limitation applies only where legally permitted.
Monthly plans
Plan inclusions apply only to the stated users, devices, time and service type. Unused time does not roll over unless a written offer says otherwise. Extra work is quoted before it is performed. A plan is not a 24/7 service-level agreement or full managed-security service unless expressly stated in writing.
Contact and governing law
Questions can be sent to support@westitmate.com.au. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth law.
